The 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development
The Sustainable Development Goals refer to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the 193-Member United Nations General Assembly at the Sustainable Development Summit held in New York on 25–27 September 2015.
They include 17 goals and 169 targets. The Sustainable Development Goals succeed the Millennium Development Goals, which end in December 2015. The new agenda serves as a launch pad for renewed cooperation over the next 15 years to end poverty in all its forms, promote shared prosperity, and support sustainable development for everyone.
