DLSU SDG LOCALIZATION PROJECT LAUNCH

De La Salle University through the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA) formally launched its SDG Localization Project last August 19, 2016 at the Multipurpose Hall of the Henry Sy Sr. Building, Manila Campus. With a hundred and forty-one (141) VIPs and guests in attendance, various stakeholders from the government, academe, community leaders and development agencies celebrated the birth of the first-ever University-Community Engagement Initiative that is anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs.

Break-out Sessions
#SustainableEnvironmentAs part of De La Salle University’s Launch of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Localization Project, participants from the academe, civil society and private organizations were provided with an opportunity to understand Sustainable Environment.
#InclusiveEducationWith a total of sixty-six (66) participants from the academe, civil society, partner communities and local government units, the #InclusiveEducation Conference was one of the most attended among the five (5) breakout sessions for the day.

#DecentEmployment#DecentEmployment was one of the five (5) SDG conference discussions that took place to kick-off the SDG Localization Launch of the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA).
#PhilippineSDGsA total of 79 individuals representing 9 schools, 15 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), 4 Barangay Local Government Units (BLGU) and 1 National Government Agency attended the #PhilippineSDG Conference held at Seminar Room 508, De La Salle University (DLSU).

#UniversalHealthThe #UniversalHealth Conference was held at the Seminar Room 507 of the Yuchengco Hall and was attended by around 30 participants from various stakeholders such as students, faculty members, local government units / barangays, people’s organizations and national government agencies.
SDG ExhibitsVarious civil society and local government partners of COSCA put up exhibits showcasing their respective organization's programs, projects and activities.
